Safety & Risk Management
The Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), of which GYAA is a member, has important information regarding safety on their website. Here are some some points they emphasize:
The Mandatory Reporting webpage includes all policy and information needed to report known or suspected child abuse and or child neglect and violations of the prohibited conduct policy along with violations of the SafeSport Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP). On this page there is a link to a DCF document that shows all DCF MA local contact information along with more valuable resources.
Communicate how to locate, and the importance of, understanding and following both the Mandatory Reporting and the MA Safe Soccer Athlete and Participant Safety Policies which is inclusive of the SafeSport Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) to all organization adult members and players’ parents/guardians.
All adult participants must also review and follow all Mass Youth Soccer required safety policies.
Please see the MYSA Safe Soccer page for more information
